The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)
Genre: Horror
Time: 1h 38mins
Director: Marcus Nispel
Quick Summary: After picking up a traumatized young hitchhiker, five friends are stalked and hunted by a deformed chainsaw-wielding loon and his family of equally psychopathic killers.
This is so boring and far from the vibe the original gave.
They honestly should have just left it alone as it chucks in so many unimportant subplots to fill out the film.
The cinematography is so bland too since everything looks the same, and a lot of the time it was too dark to see what was happening. The editing was too snappy, which reminded me of MTV 2000's editing, though that would have been popular at the time, it dates it in a bad way.
I hated the acting as well, it felt so poor and uninteresting. Like nobody really cared. The script was equally as dull. Though I did enjoy a few moments with a cop, who occasionally was pretty funny, though I think that might of been on accident as it seemed he was trying to be serious.
It's obvious this is just a recycle of a super good film in hopes of making money to a younger audience, who probably have never seen the original.
