Who let the worm in my brain make a film?

Never in my life have I seen the concept of fever dreams be put into a film. I loved every single second of it. Honestly this is such a missed gem for all of you who also love weird films. It's not perfect, but that doesn't mean I adore this any less.

This film takes you on a insane and hectically beautiful journey through a fantastical dreamscape that leaves you absolutely glued to the screen. The whole thing is quirky, odd and just bizarre. It's like someone combined Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and Don't Hug Me I'm Scared. The Weirdness level just breaks the scale. It has cute little stop motion moments, a grass man and a guy who forces you to eat fried chicken in your dreams. Which are taxed too.  Not to forget the frog man who plays the saxophone.

Though I am someone who loves weird films that don't make sense, this film can be very hard to follow because of how disjointed it is. The story jumps around everywhere, characters are morphed into different ones, it can be hard to define the reality and the dream land. This is one films where you really have to pay attention. Its filled to the brim throughout it's short run time with retro-futurism, houses full of trinkets and just charm.

Sure it's messy, and all over the place, but the whole film is a wonderful experience. A magical masterpiece, that is actually incredible romantic as well. It is well worth your time, with especially how short it is.

If you prefer imagination over extra, story over CGI, and heart over the sameness then this is for you. It is full of heart and personality. A lot of passion went into this film. Beautiful sets and interesting characters along the way. Honestly this is a work of art and I hope it gets the appreciation it deserves.

From start to finish this is such a beautiful film, from how it looks, to the music, to the story. You experience this with the characters; it is such a fun time.

10/10

  1. If a future with someone was only a dream but also a reality, mix in a lot of bizzare vibe you get this banger
