Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey (1991)

Alright, to give this one credit, this starts out really well. Not that I liked the first one much, but this was a lot weaker than the first. At least the title was right about this one.
They continue with the same airhead, dumb repetitive humour but this time, it's so much more this time and still I didn't find it that funny. Actually, I think they were dumber this time around.
I will say, at least the plot was a little bit better this time around, though it got incredibly predictable and sidetracked at some points. The games they play with death to get out of being dead went on for way too long. As the Grim Reaper William Sadler does the best that he can but is given no real funny lines resulting in his performance feeling a bit of a waste. However, I did enjoy small moments from him now and again, such as when he's forced to wear girly clothes and he begrudgingly accepts it.
In the same way, robots Bill and Ted could have been used better and are not funny in and of themselves. As a concept for this, I liked them, though in actuality I did not. They just grossed me out and annoyed me with how they were, it was like they got the already worse Bill and Ted, and amplified them.
Again, there isn't much I can say about this one that hasn't already been said about the previous one. The same dumb humour, the same fun 80's rock soundtrack, and a ridiculous plot line. I guess one small thing this has a leg up on is that the small handful of the special effects are pretty cool, such as the robots ripping off their faces to show that they are in fact robots underneath.
I mean, if you like the previous one, I'm sure you'll most definitely like this one.
3/10
"Dead Bill: Ted.
Dead Ted: Yeah?
Dead Bill: If I die, you can have my Megadeth collection.
Dead Ted: But, dude, we're already dead.
Dead Bill: Oh. Well then they're yours, dude."
"Dead Bill: Ted?
Dead Ted: What?
Dead Bill: Don't "Fear the Reaper"!
[both of them do an air guitar]
Grim Reaper: I heard that."
