I was so bored by this I actually fell asleep.

Let me start by explaining this film chose to set up an assembly of superheroes, with only maybe 3 of them having introduction films before it. The rest are just thrown in and quickly introduced to us in this one. I say quickly like this film actually had some speed to it. Still, now, I am unsure of a film that has a lot of fights in it and still manages to be extremely boring.

As for the fights, they looked sort of cool. A lot of it was very clearly CGI, and everyone looked really computer-altered for a lot of this film too. I actually found it really distracting to watch as everyone looked super shiny or kinda off. The same goes for all the special effects throughout them. They looked kinda cheap and not something I would expect from a blockbuster superhero film.

One thing that still right now, I have no idea if I liked it or not was the character for the flash. He is sort of this dorky teenager, who I actually found to be pretty funny at first as he just overreacts to things happening around him, or just blurts out things awkwardly. The things he was saying were honestly pretty funny. Then he got incredibly annoying and I wish I could have decked him. I'm not sure what caused this massive turnaround in appeal but he just got so damn annoying and wouldn't shut up. Batman ended up being the one with the comical appeal strangely enough, and I found myself laughing more at the stuff he was saying and doing.  Aquaman ended up being pretty much useless in this which is hilarious to me too.

Something else that I find funny, is that even though this came before Infinity War/Endgame, it feels like a rip of that. The villain comes across like a budget Thanos in both looks and ideals, and the whole point of him is to bring together a few mystical items to make the world this ideal way.

I was interested in the beginning as there was so much set-up, but then the set-up didn't stop. It just kept setting up characters and things without fully explaining them. Now this could have been a good thing if they chose to use the full 2 hours to introduce all the characters and explain them, to then bring them together at the end, to then use another film to make the last 30 minutes of this film much more exciting. But no, they chose to take forever to do anything in the most boring way and then cram everything in right at the last minute.

Please don't force yourself to watch this like I did. It's just so lifeless and boring, that you will be wasting your time. Nothing good really came out of this film.

2/10
