What the actual fuck.

Who in their right mind thought this was cool let alone was okay to make a film It's gross and makes me uncomfortable. Sure lets have women, some of them looking a bit young and infantilised, barely dressed in some of the most obviously oversexualised halloween costumes, and make them be really cringey because it feels like they're just copying every single anime series ever.

It's a mess. Supposedly it's the main character constantly going in and out of fantasies, but I was never sure when it began or when it changed. It flicks between multiple scenarios and this like brothel where they're even more scantly dressed. What makes this worse is the "Fantasies" are basically youtube edits with slowed down versions of songs over them. From a generic samurai sword/battle battle, to a Nazi war scene with some mech machines, to a scene literally right out of Lord of the Rings with Orcs, a castle, and dragons, to a Unstoppable (runaway train scene)/Matrix/Terminator/Defuse a bomb scene. You name any action film and it's probably in this but made ten times worse.

The actor's did the best they could have done but the script and direction is awful as they speak in sort of either whispery ways; the stereotypical timid shy character way, or cocky and witty. I was so sick of the doe-eyed, feel-sorry-for-me, babyish way the main actress spoke and acted, as it mostly grossed me out knowing people loved her in this for that reason.

This tried way too hard to emphasize the hardcore, tough chick act; yet they still always have to have women look like little sex dolls when they battle, with perfect makeup, boobs out, and short skirts. How this came across and empowering I have no idea. It's gross and embarrassing. I was interested for all of 20 minutes, then it started the story within the story within the story.
